2008 Ford Expedition. No factory alarm just keyless entry with dome light and headlight supervision when dark on disarm. I recently installed an APS25E VSS kit from motor city remotes which went in great. I figured the dome light supervision would still work but it does not. Is there a way to activate the domelights and headlights upon disarming this alarm somehow?? Using a relay or another way?

I don't know if the APS25E has a dome light supervision output, but here are the correct wires for your vehicle.

DOMELIGHT SUPERVISION      GRAY/PURPLE (+) (Dome Lights), PURPLE (+) (Puddle Lamps)      @ SJB, GRAY 14-PIN PLUG (F), Pin 9 & GRAY 26-PIN PLUG (D), PIN 21

It does not have one. I am using the grey/purple wire for the door trigger. Was wanting to know if there was a way to pulse something possibly upon unlock that could turn this on. Not sure about how the factory remote does it.

What happens when you open the driver's door and then immediately close it? Does the dome light stay on for an extended period of time or does it turn off as soon as the door is closed? If it doesn't turn off immediately, you can use a relay triggered by the door unlock output of the alarm to send a positive pulse to the driver's door trigger.

The relay would go in series with the driver's door pin wire to the BCM.

Left Front Door Trigger      green/violet     - N.C.      driver kick or SJB in passenger kick, gray 26 pin plug (D), pin 14

This wire rests at ground and provides an open circuit when the door is opened. The relay will simulate the door opening when the Prestige unlock activates.

Cut the Left Front Door Trigger wire and insert the relay as follows:

Pin 86: Fused +12V constant
Pin 85: Unlock from Alarm
Pin 30: To BCM side of the cut driver's door trigger wire
Pin 87a: To Door side of the cut driver's door trigger wire
Pin 87: Not connected.

The Relay would be driven by the unlock output of the APS25E. You should diode isolate the unlock output. Using 2 diodes, connect the banded ends together and also connect the banded ends to the unlock output. This creates 2 isolated unlock outputs--One of the unbanded outputs connects to the unlock wire of the vehicle, the other unbanded output connects to the relay trigger.

Hope this helps.

Ok i have read this a few times. The diode part is confusing me. Sorry.
Banded ends together and connect both to output. Which output? Alarm or to the SJB in the truck. And then the other two ends one the door and the other the alarm i suppose?

Disconnect the unlock output of the APS25E from the unlock wire in the car. The banded ends of both diodes connect to the unlock output from the APS25E. One of the unbanded ends connects to the relay as a trigger for dome light when you press unlock. The other unbanded end connects to the unlock wire in the car.
