Great forums with the best information! Thanks to all.

Question: 2002 Toyota Tacoma sporting a aged Valet 562T with an XCRS satellite remote start module. Appears to dead (no LED light/unresponsive to FOB with new batteries). That said, in ya'lls sage opinion, should I pull this existing system out (rewiring the start wire that cut out for the remote start) OR scab in the new Avital 2101L leaving the old system in place? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Does touching the wht/blu "activate" wire of the 562T to ground cause the unit to start the truck? If = yes, you can use the aux output of the 2101 to activate the R/S. If = no, the 2101 is not a remote starter. You can use the 2101 Ground When Armed output to control a starter disable relay. I wouldn't reuse the satellite relays unless the wiring and installation is outstanding and still functional. But if you no longer desire a Remote Starter, take it all out.

Will certainly try your suggestion. The relays are old and I'm leaning more to going keyless entry as opposed to remote start now. Thank you for the advise!
