Hi all. I've installed an Electric Life remote keyless entry and alarm system in my 1978 F250 custom build. I broke the motor in a little while ago and everything went fine, so I have powered it up before with the system installed. I'm completing the end of my build, so I went to reattach the battery cables to check all the electrical systems, and the alarm system triggers every time I go to connect the battery cables. There appears to be no way of turning the alarm off, other than to disconnect the battery cable. The remote controls for the alarm system don't work, as they have not been programmed to the system yet. The problem is, I can't pair them to the system with the alarm activated. The valet switch also does nothing. Does anyone have any experience with the systems? Is there any way to reset it so that it doesn't activate when powered up? Their tech support line has been absolutely no help. I have part number 95125, which includes alarm system part number 95430. I could really use your guys expertise, thanks!

I have never heard of that brand before but most alarms can be bypassed by turning the ignition on and pressing the valet button 2 times and holding it on the second press. I hope that helps out some

Have you tried turning the key to the run position before you connect the battery? Did you have the key in the on position when using the valet switch?

At least unplug the horn or siren so you don't annoy the neighbors (or yourself) while you figure it out. Use the park light flash to monitor system status. Also check your remote(s) battery status. Maybe they're dead after sitting while you built the truck.
