Hello everyone, lately I've been having a problem with my alarm not arming. Alarm is installed on a 94 Honda civic cx. Both the 2 way remote and the standard remote will only lock and unlock the doors and not arm the alarm at all. Then randomly after a few hours everything will work as normal. Its driving me crazy as I cannot figure out what is causing this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Update: I got home from work and decided to mess around with it. If I change the Light Flash Polarity Jumper to the negative side the alarm will arm but the lights will not flash. And when I moved it back to the Positive side it would not arm again. Any reason for this? It was working fine up to this point, possibly a bad control module? or a short some where?

Is your dome light bulb burned out or have you changed to an LED type lately?

Dome light is not burned out, and I am not using an LED. Still just the OEM bulb

Check the power connection you're using for the module. The fact that reversing the light flash polarity causes the system to react differently seems like a module power issue. If no problem found, try removing the fuse from the white light flash wire and see if it arms/disarms. If = yes it now works, the light circuit is drawing so much power the voltage in the module drops too far for it to function.

I think you have a bad or intermittent connection at the red power wire, or possibly at the black module ground connection.
