I have a responder hd (5906v) installed on my 2012 gmc Yukon xl denali, what I would like to do is have the parking lights come on (and stay on, not just flash) with the viper remote when disarming, just like they do with the oem remote (headlights, tailights, puddle lights) I asked the installer about this and he called dei spoke with them for a couple minutes and just shrugged his shoulders and said he couldn't do it.
the interior light is set to come on for 1 minute but I also want the exterior lights to lite up as well, I am just wondering if it is something that is just not possible or if it was just more work than what the installer wanted to do and just said he "couldn't". I am hoping someone has experience with this particular issue, it is not a setting in my DIC and the function has to be added some how when disarming the system if it is at all possible to do.
thank you for your time. wes

***edit I guess what could suffice is to have the viper system arm/disarm the factory alarm, I think this would be a possible solution if it would perform the same function as when I disarm with the oem remote, I was reading on a 2007 suburban that it requires a data module I am assuming a dball? or does the 5906v already include a dball?

Directechs says factory alarm disarm is factory remote only. Some of our hands on guys may have a workaround for you.

headlights would be a negative @ headlight switch or BCM left of strng column, white plug, pin 12. I don't know if that will turn the other lights on or just the headlights. you could use the black/yellow-dome light output on the 5906v to trigger them, its just a ground so you may not need a relay. The dball is sold seperatley and that is used more for the passlock system in the car

thanks for the info I will give it a try tomorrow and see how it goes it is in the body shop today, do you know which wire would be for the puddle lights? I could only find a reference to a blue wire which is supposed to be located in the mirror harness behind the door panel.

that i have no clue on, those could be off the the parking lights + or -. Parking light have 2 + light wires (one for both sides) and a negative as well. alldata doesn't even list them (or i can't find them).

Hi, you can use the black/yellow output like mentioned above or I would use a Directed 528T pulse timer to trigger all the lights you want. This timer takes a pulse at the input and keeps the output on at a controlled delay set by the installer. The input can be triggered by positive or negative signal and output polarity is also your choice. If all your lights turn on with negative trigger, just use 1 amp diodes to isolate all circuits. If some are positive, use a relay to change the polarity. This is totally doable and I can do it for you but I’m far away from you....lol
