I have a 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 with the factory keyless entry and remote start. Is there an easy way to upgrade it to a 2-way system? I have installed alarms and remote start before but it has been a while. I saw something about some t harnesses available now for somewhat plug and play??

DEI has a range extender system. You can use a DB3 module with a XL202 module and a RF kit (remotes and an antenna). The modules must be programmed for RXT. It's a pretty simple install and will allow you to use a 2 way remote to activate the factory remote starter. You can also buy the available T harness but there is only 5 wires to connect and they are all at the diagnostic connector under the dash. The system doesn't change any of the operating functions of the factory starter but it does give you better range and 2 way confirmation.

Maybe this is an odd question, if the t harness does what it sounds like it may not be too bad.

Thank you! That sounds exactly what I am looking for.
