Hello,

It's been a long time since I've needed an aftermarket alarm for a vehicle and as a result I feel pretty out of touch with the market. I will provide a breakout of features I do / don't want and hope you can point me in the direction of product to suite my needs.

The vehicle is a small 2 door convertible.

I am after, in no particular order:
A long rang paging remote - if the remote was waterproof or weather resistant it would be a plus.
A proximity sensor which only needs a foot of range (will be behind speedo, just needs to cover my steering wheel and radar detector)
The ability to control the windows (down on Aux, up on lock).
Multiple piezo's in the cabin.

I do not want remote start (alarm can have R/S as long as the system will function without hooking up). It's a manual transition in a sub-tropical climate where there is no real advantage to R/S.

Compustar seems to be getting the best reviews I can find only and their 3 mile range with a waterproof remote seems to check a lot of boxes.

What should I be looking at?

Thank you!

Can use any brand of proximity sensor and window module with your Compustar. And the Piezo's all wired to a relay for control. All the brand names are pretty good! It comes down to the specialty options that one will have over the other. which your not looking for other that a weather proof remote. .
