I have installed a Viper 3105V 350 Plus 3. Everything works fine except the Dome Light Supervision. The manual says you can hook it up without a relay. I have hooked up with and without a relay. Nothing happens either way. The vehicle is a 1993 Jeep Cherokee. Dome light goes on when negative circuit is completed.
It’s my opinion that the Dome Light trigger does not function. Just hoping you guys might have some thoughts at some thing I missed before I contact the vendor who gave a 2 year warranty which they backed.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

If it was connected without a relay, you may have already fried the output, but here's how it should be connected:

It is connected as you show. Interestingly the directions say to connect it without a relay. Light does come on when door is opened. I know my relay setup is correct as if I apply ground to the trigger terminal on the relay with the doors closed the lights come on.

I am wondering if there is a test to see if the Door Supervision wire works. Can I use a test lamp on that wire with power? Then it should light if the wire goes to ground?

Where are you getting these directions? Do you have a link to the manual? The results I get in the downloads section say a relay must be used. Search 3105, 3105v or 350 plus 3.

It's probably rated at 200 mA. Your test light may very well exceed that amount, hence the need for the relay.

The original directions included with the alarm just say hook to dome light. It also does not show that wire as a 200ma like several others are designated. I do have the manual and it states to use a relay. Since the included instructions said no relay I went that way 1st, assuming that to be newer and more current to that model.

If those directions were sent by the seller, you might reach out to them.

Are there TWO blk/wht wires? If = yes, one of them is connected to ground for a (-) trigger system, or to B+ for a (+) trigger system. The other is the trigger to the dome lights. If there re two wires, there is an onboard relay.

I just checked my notes for 3305 / 350. It only has one wire, blk/wht, it is a (-) trigger, and needs an external relay for direct dome light control. In vehicles with BCMs that have the BCM control the dome light relay, this wire can be directly wired to control the same car's relay.

Just wanted to give a final update on this. The place I purchased this from on EBay refused to honor their 2 year warranty. Don’t buy from Techronics. But PayPal did honor it and refunded my money after I sent it back. I purchased another one from a different vendor. Plugged it in with a relay on the dome light circuit and everything works just fine.
I still want to point out as a caution to all the wiring diagram marks several circuits as 200ma and says they need relays. But the dome light wire isn’t marked and just says to hook it up. That’s where my mistake came from. The larger Viper manual does say use a relay. But that manual doesn’t come with the alarm. I downloaded it later on.
Regardless all is well and I greatly appreciate the advise given on this forum.
