I have a 2003 Chevy S-10 that is getting a new Commando RS-560 Alarm system put in it with a starter kill relay and I need to know what are the correct wires to use under the steering column for the relay, I am also needing to know where the tach. pickup wire is to be tapped and what color it is.

The Chevy dealer mechanic said I will find the PCM module near the battery on the passenger side and not to touch any modules that have a yellow connector on them since these modules are for the air bag system.

I could use the help, seems Commando Car alarms does not keep up on the vehicles and the schematics.

I also noticed the kit does not have a hood pop-up switch to install for the remote starter that came with the kit.

Starter YELLOW OR PURPLE IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS

Tach Signal WHITE AT IGNITION CONTROL MODULE
* Ignition Control Module Is Located On The Passenger Side Of The Engine Compartment.

*1 The BCM (Body Control Module) is located to the right of the accelerator pedal below the radio. The plugs on the BCM face towards the driver side.

*2 This wire will not test when using the headlight switch. This wire is triggered by the DRL system. To meter the wire, start the car with the parking brake set, when the brake is released this wire will go to ground.

*3   Use tan for the driver door located in pin B4, orange for the passenger door located in pin B2. Use both wires and diode isolate.

*4   The PCM (Powertrain Control Module) is located on the passenger fender. On the 2.2L the wire is in a black 80 pin plug pin 10, and on the 4.3L the wire is in a red 32 pin plug pin 20.

*5   Also found in the brown plug at the BCM on vehicles with a factory alarm.
