2007 Hyundai Elantra - Lock & Unlock

Hello,

I installed a remote start on 07 Hyundai Elantra and for some reason i can't get the lock & unlock to work via remote start fob. Wiring diagram says "TYPE B", does this mean its positive and even if it is positive, i have tried changing the polarity and still does not work, please advise.

Type B is negative pulse.

Have you verified with a meter you're on the right wires? Set your meter lead to voltage. Touch the black lead to ground (the outside of the cigarette lighter works well). Touch the red lead to your suspect wire. If it reads 12 volts, and drops off when you push lock (or unlock), you've found the right wire.

Now try to lock (or unlock) with a jumper. Momentarily touch that same wire to ground. If you don't have a jumper, you should be able to use your multimeter set to current (you may have to move your leads on the meter).

If this works, you can try using a relay:

I used my test wire and had my test light on proper ground and touch the lock/unlock wire, when the wire is locked/unlocks, the voltage drops. so that means i should try triggering the unlock wire with stronger negative pulse?
