Hey everyone , i decided i would install a viper 5706 into my dodge magnum to prepare for the Icelandic winter :D I´ve gotten the remote start working but it seems to start and die within approx 3 seconds , the unit goes through some process , starts the car again and from there the car runs fine, so it starts, dies ,starts again and runs fine (i thought it might be the tach signal but i think i´ve connected that correctly).
Another problem i´m having is getting the door locks to work with the viper remote. The installation instructions say that i need to run ground through a 330 ohm resistor to lock and 100 ohm to unlock since it´s a single wire system. I haven´t had any luck with that though and i wasn´t sure if it would be enough to run the negative door lock/unlock signals from the viper unit through the resistor to the door lock/unlock wire (it has a - 200ma signal from the unit) or if i would need to have the viper close a circuit that would connect the door lock/unlock wire to ground through the resistors (i have tried both without any luck but so i wanted to check if i was far off with a solution or maybe if i could check somehow if i have the right wire ).

Thanks in advance :D

You say you connected the tach wire. Did you verify proper signal? Did you learn the tach?

You could always pull the door lock switch and test it for the proper values.

If those are the right values, try using relays:
