Hello All, I have a 2006 Toyota 4Runner which I have owned for about 6 years. The vehicle had a Skytek 2000RS remote start, with a 556U immobilizer pod installed by the prior owner. The vehicle didn't come with the remote, and I finally got around to finding a replacement, which I successfully programmed today! And the unit worked great! But - I couldn't resist messing with something that worked, and attempted to enter some custom settings. In doing so, I reset the unit defaults, and now when I try and activate the remote start it just cranks the engine continuously :(

I found the manual online Skytek 2000RS Manual page 33 shows the programming options

Does anyone have experience with something like this? Any help would be greatly appreciated posted_image

I'd probably start by changing branch 14 to tach monitor. Then try the RPM learn routine on branch 15 and see what happens. Hopefully someone wired up the tachometer wire when it was originally installed.

Is it possible that this is the manual?

I bet that is the manual since the unit is from 2006, good catch!!

I bet that also means I purchased the incorrect replacement remote... The one I bought looks like this, perhaps I am not able to correctly program things.

Thanks for the help Steve!!

I tried the RPM learn feature, however it give me the 4 click response, which I from the manual indicates it could not learn the signal.
