I've been installing remote starts for 5 years now as a side gig, not doing a high volume by any means.. maybe 5 a year or so. I started out with Viper/DEI and for the past 2-3 yrs have been installing Encore units. I've recently had issues getting stock on the Encore E9 and E7 which are the main units I was selling. From what I hear DEI is kind of out of the question now that DIY'ers etc can't flash bypass modules anymore. I'm familiar with idatalink and have a programmer so it hasn't really been an issue. I'm potentially looking to start selling a new brand if Encore doesn't start producing soon. Any suggestions on reliable brands that a non-dealer can still buy? I'd like to keep the module cost fairly low, I was able to get E9's surprisingly inexpensive, around $130 and they had similar performance to the Viper 5706V and similar models. Anywho, sorry for the long story.. any suggestions?

TIA

None of the major brands are real friendly to low volume or DIYers. Secondary market prices are
fairly similar for quality brands and equivalent models. You could look at Compustar and Prestige.
They are high quality systems that can be found online at reasonable prices. The most important
area you already have well covered with iDatalink.

Soldering is fun!
