Hey all!

Any help on this would be great. I'm installing a viper 5305v on my 2012 f150. I'd like to keep the factory priority unlock. My viper does have a 2nd unlock wire. I was trying to see if I could tie that wire to the primary unlock wire, and the primary from the viper to the drivers side door?

There is only one unlock wire in your vehicle and it unlocks all the doors.
The priority unlocking feature is implemented only through the remote and the SJB.

That's not to say it can't be done but it would require a "bunch" of relays and cutting into the door lock wires.

I have one priority unlock now with the OEM setup. When installing the viper...I was told I'd lose that feature. I'd like to keep it if I can but dont want to add relays just to unlock the driver door first.

As Eguru says, this is handled by the SJB (BCM).

I think you can do this with 1 relay.

See here:

Nothing is listed for 2012, but try 2013

The blue wire at the SJB/BCM pin 21 goes to the driver's door lock actuator. Cut this wire. The BCM side will go to terminal 87A of your relay. The other side will go to terminal 30. Connect terminals 86 and 87 to a fused constant 12 volt source (10-15 amps should be fine). Terminal 85 will go to the negative unlock wire from your alarm.

Your second unlock wire will go to the unlock wire for all the doors.

I have a 2012 f150 and am installing a viper 5305v system. I'm trying to see if there's a way to tap into the hood pin switch wire installed with a hood pin switch from the oem instead of using the one from viper. I found a blue/orange wire in the BCM and tapped into that, but my remote start thinks the hood is opened, when it's not at all. Any help would be great!
