I had a Viper remote start/alarm combo installed on one of my previous vehicles, and just bought a new used vehicle that has a similar system. I don’t think it’s an alarm though, but it appears to be the same remote and setup. There is no speaker mounted in the engine bay as far as I can tell, and i’d like an audible “chirp” like my other system had.
Can you add it to this system? Any universal alarm speaker from amazon?
I also have two remote fobs from a basic Viper remote start/keyless entry installed that I don’t have anymore. Can I program them to the unit? I tried finding instructions but couldn’t seem to get them to work. The remotes are 7146V. The only fob I have is the 2 way LCD, 7752V.
One last question! Can you order replacement cases for these things? The remote I got is pretty beat up. It drives me crazy, but I’m too cheap to spend $80+ on a new remote when that’s 1/2 the price of a whole system.
