Hello,

im looking for IMMOBILIZER BYPASS for my Hyundai tucsan 2018 that compatible with viper 5704v
previously,I used to use the DBall 2 with viper and it was perfect, now the Directech website is locked only with Dealers and can not be flashed the DBAll2 with the software required for my vehicle

any advice with the best IMMOBILIZER BYPASS,

Does the 2018 Tucson have a regular ignition key or is it a Push-To-Start vehicle?

U.S. vehicles with a regular key usually do not have a transponder chip based ignition
immobilizer system. If you don't mind a bunch of wire connections, the vehicle can
be done without a "bypass" module. A full featured bypass module will make the install
much quicker / easier but isn't mandatory.

If it's a PTS vehicle, you will need a bypass module.

You might try to find an "online" seller that will flash your module prior to shipment.
There are some that will provide this service for free or at a small mark-up. Make
sure the seller is highly rated and trusted because you won't have any way to determine
if and what firmware is on the module. It will be a "try it a see" situation.

If you want to try another bypass module manufacturer that will go D2D interface with
with your Viper system, check out the FLCAN modules. They are made by ADS iDatalink
and are flashed with firmware that can go D2D via DBI protocol. IMHO, they are the
best bypass modules available. There are some online sellers that will flash the FLCAN
with the correct firmware prior to shipment, too.

regarding your inquiry, the Key is not Push-To-Start it's regular ignition vehicle
i attached a picture of the remote

my question is how to determine if the vehicle needs a bypass module?

You can try the "foil wrap" test. Get a strip of aluminum foil about 3" wide
and 12 to 18 inches long. With the key open, wrap the remotes body with about
5 layers of foil. Ensure the key end is covered and sealed well with only the
key blade exposed. Try to start the Tucson. If it won't start, you have a
chipped key / remote assy. The best way is to actually look for EMS COM wire
in the Blue connector in the Drivers Kick Panel. Photo from Fortin below :

If the wire is present, you have a transponder system. If the wire is not
there and the pin location is empty ( third hole down from the top in that
front column, no transponder system.

I have a couple of questions regarding this topic ,first one could he connect viper 5706v directly without bypass if there is not any immobilizer?
Could he cut the immobilizer wire and connect viper without bypass?
What about vehicle security ???

This discussion is on a regular key U.S. market 2018 Tuscon.

Yes, it is possible to install the 5704v without using a bypass module. This would be true for a U.S. market car that does not have the chipped key remote. The only issue is interfacing the cars alarm system, which requires some extra connections, diodes and a relay.

If the car has the immobilizer system ( Canadian vehicles), cutting the EMS COM wire will not disable or eliminate the immobilizer system. If this was easily possible the Tuscon would be higher up on the Canadian vehicle theft list.

Vehicle security is controlled by the Factory Alarm system. It monitors all points of entry and the hood. All of the door pins are the common standard (-) signal type and can be easily added as Viper inputs. 1N4001 diodes would be required. These pin signals are located on the BCM, under the driver's side dash. As mentioned above the Viper can be wired to turn the Factory Alarm system on and off.

The Viper 5706v is pretty much the same as the 5704v. If your Tucson didn't have the transponder immobilizer system, you could still use a full featured bypass module. It would make the install easier with less vehicle wiring, handle the locks, alarm and door triggers. You can just skip the transponder part of the bypass module programming.
