Hey all,

I installed a avital 5305l on my 10 lincoln MKZ along with a fortin key-bypass-sl2.
The car will not crank on remote. But if I power the starter wire when it should be cranking it starts and runs.
Is there something I'm missing?

I followed the pictorial on here, the remote has a security but I didnt hook any of that up. Does the remote need to see something from that to start?

Thanks Andy

Can you list out what you did connect ? So we can get a better idea of what's going on.

For sure,

Main 5 pin harness   chassis ground, fused 12v constant, parking light output.

Remote 10 pin harness   fused 12v ignition 1 relay input, starter output , accessory output, ignition 1 input/ output.

24 pin harness

Trunk release output, hood pin input, horn honk output( does not honk horn ), brake shutdown input.

Thanks in advance :)

It looks like you didn't connect the power wire (red/black) for the starter. I always connect all three red fused wires in the remote start harness.
