Hello everyone,

I'm new here and have what I hope will be a simple question - On an Avital 5305L, the brown wire on the 5-pin main harness connector is listed as (+) for the siren, but does anyone know what amperage it provides? Trying to figure out if I need a relay or not. Thanks.

Older alarms had a transistor to power the siren output. Those you could easily power 2 typical sirens. Some of the newer ones have an integrated circuit to power the siren. With the repair industry going away you would be much better off using a relay.
