I have a 2019 Polaris Slingshot and I’m looking to install an alarm.

Obviously it’s much different than a car, no door triggers, locks, etc.

I am wanting an alarm that has a proximity sensor (I know they’re finicky) and a tilt or shock sensor for when someone thinks it’s okay to just walk up to it and sit in it and take pictures.

Is it really as simple as wiring up a positive, ground, and I would assume a switched ignition wire (aside from whatever the add-on modules need)?

I’d like a 2 way system so my remote lets me know somethings up. I’ve installed a few keyless entry and remote start systems before, I’m just curious if an alarm on this thing would really be “that easy”

Thanks guys. (I know about the factory ones. I’m not a fan of them, and they still haven’t updated for the 2018+ models yet)

viper makes some motor cycle alarms. I dont think you can do prox sensor on them. Ive never put one of these on but im guessing the install is as basic.

33 years as a installer now just a retired old guy. Favorite thing to install/topic are remote starts/car alarms. Stop using test lights!!!
