The remote start i installed on my 2008 Ford F150’XLT is inconsistant and sometimes non existent. Im not a pro, but for those who are and maybe have ran into this issue before; your input is appreciated. Im gonna start my trouble shooting at the Ground comnection. Ive tested the harness and Im not getting a voltage change at the purple wire so Is there a possibility that the component has been fried? if so is it posible to fix? how could it have happened? your experiences and advice can only help, thank you.

Hello I'm also not a pro lol, i also had inconsistent start up issues with a 5305v i installed for a cust. Upon inspection the system did not activate when remote started just flashed park lights 8 times. The install guide shut down diag chart said "Wait to start Timed out", which didn't make sense as this feature was not programmed or a diesel application. Another thread said 8 flashes was NEUTRAL SAFETY. Ran the shutdown diag and got 8 flashes. *note the install guide says to let the system try to start itself 3 times and let IT shutdown so it MAY indicate where the fault is. I found out today if it doesn't start off the bat..it can still be shut down diaged. Which i know the sequence if you need*

Either way, i drop panel locate park brake wire smush it,
*Remote Start*...Voila.
Im acctually going back tomorrow to repair the wire as i didnt have my tools.
