I am doing an remote start install on an 09 lucerne. The wiring dosen't have heavy gauge wires at ignition. I'm installing avital 4105i remote start with xpresskit bypass. All of the diagrams and reference guides are no help any ideas on wireing?

I'm assuming you looked here in the vehicle wiring section.
https://www.bulldogsecurity.com/bdnew/vehiclewiringdiagrams.aspx is a useful resource for wiring information.
Also, Xpresskit is not a specific bypass, but a product line under Directed.
You maybe able to lookup a guide for your specific bypass here: https://old.directechs.com/VehicleCompatibility.aspx?p=-1&v=3227&ps=1&s=0&c=0&pr=-1
Different bypass companies, but you can sometimes lookup a bypass module to find wiring info here also:

We need more information to help you. Specifically, what bypass are you using? Has it been successfully flashed? What connections have you made (factory color/pin location to aftermarket color/pin location/harness)?
What does no success mean? What is the exact issue you have? Does the ignition power but no crank? Does it crank but never start?

PKMUX? Don't remember that bypass module. The closest one I cam find is the PKUMUX
and that one only covered the Buick Lucerne until 2006, not your 2009 model.

Yes, it's likely the PKUMUX. It's actually listed for 2006-2009 Lucerne.
Is this the guide you used?

Place a key in the ignition without turning and try to remote start.
If that works, the problem is with the bypass (wiring, programming, faulty unit, etc.). ------------- My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

Yes sorry pkumuk. Even with the key in it wouldn't crank so i may not have programmed bypass correctly is what i am guessing.

I somehow missed that part.
Do you have the red/black wire in the remote start harness connected to constant power? Is the fuse good? Is there any voltage on the purple wire during remote start (when it should be cranking)? ------------- My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.
