Can anyone here help me disable the backup battery on an Automate AM7? (Or an easy way to shut off / disconnect the whole unit?) My 07 Accord was totaled when another driver ran a red light and T-boned us. My Apartment co is letting me store the car in our parking lot until insurance comes but the battery is already showing signs of dying from heat / disuse. My concern is that the battery will die soon, triggering periodic alarms which will drive my neighbors insane and force me to tow the car somewhere else = storage fees, while the insurance company (which has already indicated they might deny coverage) stalls for weeks to months. Any help is appreciated. FYI I have minimal experience with electronics / installation so please keep it simple.
