Hello kreg357,

I've been reading your posts on installation of the Viper 5706V and the use of a bypass module. I have a 2006 Silverado work truck, automatic trans and power door locks but does not have an immobilizer system on it so I'm attempting to install the 5706V without a bypass module. Can this be done without a bypass module? If so, my questions are; where do I get the door input signal? The door switch is at 12v when the door is closed and drops to 0v when the door is opened. Can this input be used on either green or violet wire on the 24 pin connector? Next, lock and unlock output. Can these be connected directly to the BCM somehow? If so, might you know which wires to connect to? If not, how would you suggest tying into the door lock?

Thanks, calvinjk
