Remote Starter and Bypass Module Advice for 2008 Rav4

Hello,
     I am looking to install remote starter on 2008 toyota rav4,4 cylinder please advice me which is the good and easy bypass module and remote starter to install,i was reading on other forum,now installer need access to the website for flashing firmware on bypass module,please guide me in right direction.

If you just want to get a bypass module for the Transponder Chip system and don't want to deal with
firmware flash, look at a Fortin KeyOverride-ALL or EVO-Ride. They come pre-flashed and ready to go
right of the box. The Directed PK-ALL is the same module as the Fortin KeyOverride-All if you want
to get the DEI friendly version.

Another option that will make the install easier is getting a module like the iDatalink ADS AL-CA
bypass module from an online seller that will flash it with the correct firmware ( ADS-AL(DL)-TL1 )
prior to shipment. It will do more than just the transponder bypass. Things like door locks, handle
the Factory Alarm, provide a Tach and Brake signal and the Hood Pin signal if the RAV-4 is equipped
with one.

Price for the PK-ALL is around $35 and the ADS AL-CA goes for $55 with free firmware flash.

The connections shown are for the features it covers, you would still need to make all the ignition
wire connections and horn, etc.

Thanks a lot for detailed reply,is there is any plug and play remote starter for the same car,any suggestion for the remote starter unit.

I don't mind soldering and prefer to make my connections that way. I don't use Plug-n-Play units as very few are
totally plug and play. There are always a few wires that must be hard wired. That being said, if price was no object
you could go with a Fortin EVO-One R/S system. It has a built in bypass module so it is actually two units
( R/S and bypass ) in one. The EVO-One does not come with remotes and antenna, so that would be a separate
kit. To make this setup partially plug and plug, you would need to get a THAR-ONE-TOY1 harness. This harness
would handle the igintion switch harness wires. There would still be several wires requiring a hardwire connection.

The EVO-One would need to be flashed with the correct firmware. You could do this yourself if you purchased a
Fortin FlashLink updater. They go for about $40. I believe that you can still register with Fortin without being a
full fledged 12 Volt installer with a brick and mortor shop.

Another way to do this with the EVO-One, THAR-ONE-TOY1 and RFK remote / antenna kit of your choice
would be to find a seller on EBay that sells these items and would flash the EVO-One for you. I just did a quick
EBay search and found one selling the EVO-One with THAR-ONE-TOY1 harness that will flash the firmware
prior to shipment. It appears that they also sell the remote kits that can be paired with that system. Depending
on the remote kit ( range and 1 or 2 way ) the whole package would go for about $260 to $290.
