You are probably missing an IGN wire. What year MR2 do you have ?

You may have your Ignition and Accessory wires mixed up. Test the Ignition and Accessory wires with a DMM to see when each gets power during the remote start process.
I am not familiar with that alarm, but you should make sure you have followed all of the steps in the manual regarding learning the tach signal.

12V BLACK/ red - white
Starter red
Ignition BLACK / YELLOW
2nd Ignition BLACK/ orange
Accessory blue/red
Tachometer BLACK/ white check connector [1]
You need to grab all of these wires

Second Ignition relay This controls certain electrical operations on the car like FI, transmissions computers, ABS, etc. This needs to be energized otherwise the car will not start or it will run badly after start. ------------- Jeff

No you must use a relay for the 2nd IGN wire. What you can do is use the 1st IGN wire to engage a relay to add power to the 2nd IGN wire if you do not have a ground out when running wire.
