Does anyone have any experience with removing the Honda oem add-on remote start system (Honda part #08E91-T2A-100)? I have a set of the install instructions for the above mentioned system so I can just follow that in reverse for uninstall (harnesses, module etc.)....but I understand that when these system's are originally installed they require the dealer to activate via their diagnostic equipment. Need to know if there is another trip to the dealer required upon removal, to reset anything.....any advice much appreciated, Al.

only thing i would worry about is if it tied to the immobilize and unhooking it your car may not start. Any reason for you removing it?

Thanks for the response mgoetz..removing it because the client is dissatisfied with the range and inability to stay running when entering vehicle. He wants an aftermarket system installed in place of it, but I want to make sure I'm not going to cause any problems with it's removal prior to the new install....Al

you can just leave it in there and the new RS will work just fine with the range and extended run time

That's good to know......client had been told numerous times that the factory harness/module had to come out before an aftermarket one could be successfully installed! At the time, I didn't know enough about it to guide him one way or another. Thank you again for the help....Al
