Hi all!

I'm maintenance electrician that decided to tackle the project of installing remote start in my wife's car.
The car is 2010 Toyota RAV4 with regular key, dot on the key's blade (40-bit)

So far I have:
Fortin EVO-ALL molule
Fortin Flasher updater
Avital 4105L remote starter

I went through wiring diagrams but still need to be 200% sure :)
Could someone point me into right direction to find exact wiring diagram? (do I need extra relay for STARTER2 and IGNITION2?

I tried to search through this site but it has so much information that I'm lost... :(

Thanks in advance!!!

Just follow the EVO-ALL install diagram. You will need an extra relay for Starter2.
You can control the extra relay with the 4105's (-) Starter Output. Starter2 is a
thin wire so you could use a 10 Amp mini-relay.

Perhaps if you gave us a proposed wiring chart, we could review and provide input
and corrections if necessary. Here is a chart ( just fill in your vehicle connections ) :

Avital 4105

H1/1 LIGHT GREEN/BLACK FACTORY ALARM DISARM
H1/2 GREEN/WHITE FACTORY REARM
H1/3 YELLOW (+) IGNITION OUT (TO ALARM)
H1/4 WHITE/BLUE (-) ACTIVATION INPUT
H1/5 ORANGE (-) GROUND WHEN LOCKED
H1/6 BROWN (-) HORN OUTPUT
H1/7 RED/WHITE (-) TRUNK RELEASE OUTPUT
H1/8 BLACK GROUND
H1/9 WHITE (+/-) LIGHT FLASH

H2/1 BLACK/WHITE (-) NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH INPUT
H2/2 VIOLET/WHITE TACHOMETER INPUT WIRE
H2/3 BROWN (+) BRAKE SWITCH SHUTDOWN WIRE
H2/4 GRAY (-) HOOD PINSWITCH SHUTDOWN WIRE
H2/5 BLUE/WHITE (-) 200mA 2ND STATUS/REAR DEFOGGER OUTPUT

4-pin satellite harness diagram
1 BLUE STATUS OUTPUT
2 ORANGE (-) ACCESSORY OUTPUT
3 PURPLE (-) STARTER OUTPUT
4 PINK (-) IGNITION OUTPUT

Heavy gauge relay wiring diagram
6 PINK (+) (30 AMP) OUTPUT TO IGNITION CIRCUIT
5 PURPLE (+) (30 AMP) OUTPUT TO STARTER CIRCUIT
4 ORANGE (+) (30 AMP) OUTPUT TO ACCESSORY CIRCUIT
3 RED (+) (30A) HIGH CURRENT 12 INPUT
2 PINK/WHITE (+) PROGRAMMABLE OUTPUT FOR ACCESSORY OR IGNITION
1 RED (+) (30A) HIGH CURRENT 12V INPUT

Door lock harness, 3-pin connector
1 BLUE (-) UNLOCK OUTPUT
2 EMPTY NOT USED
3 GREEN (-) LOCK OUTPUT

If you wanted to go D2D between the EVO-ALL and the Avital 4105, you
must select D2D when you flash the EVO-ALL with the correct 79.xx
firmware.

There is a Pictorial on the 2011 - 2012 RAV4. The main difference
is the 80 bit G Key. The other non-transponder portion of the install
will be very similar. Here is a link :

Thanks kreg357!

I used Fortin guide:
https://cdn02.fortin.ca/download/81961/evo-all_ig_reg_bi_toy-rav4-key_2006-2010_a_81961.pdf

I want to go with D2D. So my wiring connections will be:
Heavy gauge relay
6 PINK (+) (30 AMP) OUTPUT TO IGNITION CIRCUIT      RS6a/A1 Ignition1 - White
5 PURPLE (+) (30 AMP) OUTPUT TO STARTER CIRCUIT     RS7a Starter1 - White
2 PINK/WHITE (+) PROGRAMMABLE OUTPUT FOR ACCESSORY OR IGNITION     RS6b Ignition2 - Pink

Now - do I need to connect both 12V input wires to RS2 12V - Blue?:
3 RED (+) (30A) HIGH CURRENT 12 INPUT
1 RED (+) (30A) HIGH CURRENT 12V INPUT

I think I need to connect only wire 1 since I don't use Accessory output. Right?

And I don't need to connect 4 ORANGE (+) (30 AMP) OUTPUT TO ACCESSORY CIRCUIT, correct?

Then I will need to use extra relay driven from Satellite harness, White 4-pin connector:
3 PURPLE (-) STARTER OUTPUT
to drive RS7b Starter2 Pink:
3 PULPLE (-) - pin 86
+12V (fused) - pin 87
RS7b Starter2 Pink - pin 30
Ground - pin 85

The only thing in Avital I can't find - Parking light output... Am I blind? Or it's programmable one?

Thanks!!!

According to the EVO-ALL guide, you don't need to connect to the vehicles ACC wire.

Personally, I would split the 4105 +12 volt input wires between the main ignition and the fuse box. The Pictorial shows an alternate +12v source at the fuse box.

On the relay wiring do it like this :
Pin 87 and 86 to +12v source, fused
Pin 30 to RAV4 Starter2
Pin 85 to 4105 thin Violet (-) Starter

There should be a jumper on the side of the 4105 that allows you to select either + or - Parking Light output. Default is + so you must move that jumper over.

Thanks!

I have spare starter relay Denso 28300-0A010 (TN156700-2730). Will it work? I can't find amp specs - but you mentioned it's thin wire so I hope it will be enough.

And I still can't find wire in Avital module for parking lights...

Thanks again!

Thanks!
So now I'm ready to wire it :) I just realized - I didn't mention any GROUND, but pretty sure the system needs it :)

The only ground I saw was: H1/8 BLACK GROUND in Avital wiring. Is it correct? EVO doesn't need it? (it gets through D2D from Avital, right?)

Thanks again for all support! i feel really confident now :)
