I have a 2005 Cadillac Escalade with an older Astro Start (Box under dash says Model BD / Part Number 392-127-304). The system seems to work fine, but the remote malfunctions and I can't seem to find a used one anywhere, so it may be time to replace. Remote is a NJQ500HAF.

I realize this is probably a long shot, but are there any units out there that would be "plug and play", in that the old wiring harness would match up with a newer unit? If not, any recommendations? I haven't ever wired one, but imagine that splicing the old wiring harness to the new unit would be fairly simple.

Thanks!

Also, for those of you viewing this who maybe don't have the answer, if you had to recommend a replacement auto start, what would you recommend? I don't know that I would go with it initially, but I do like the option of being able to possibly remotely start / track with a smart phone. Thanks.

You can still get a remote for that model. probably would be cheaper to buy a kit ( brain and 2 remotes vs just buying the remotes)

Any of the analog Astro start systems will plug in and work with that wiring, I think a 5325 is the model # of one of the newest ones.
