I have been out of the industry for what feels like a long time and things have changed a lot!

I need some expert help with getting my smart start to function.

I have:
5906V
VSK100 (Bluetooth smartkey module)
VSM350 (Smart Start Module)
Fortin Evo ALL (Bypass Module)

Everything on the 5906V remote works - everything through the app for the VSK100 works (lock/unlock/remote start)

I initially had two of the three plugs from the VSM350 plugged in and the gray wire grounded - everything worked well for a while with the smart start (I think I botched that up because now I read not to hook up more than one). I am getting the amber cell connection light but not the green data light on the VSM350 when I have the 4 pin D2D plug connected to the D2D port (I highly doubt that is what I was supposed to do). If I connect the 3 pin to the bitwritter/smart start port I get no lights at all.

How should this be hooked up (my bypass is wire to wire) - Based on the documents that came with the VSM350 it almost looks like I should be able to connect the black plug to my bitwriter port and power the module with a separate +12V & ground source on the 2 pin plug.

Any suggestions would be extremely helpful! Thank you in advance for helping an old timer out (Back when the worst car to do was a dodge caravan or a town and country)

Thank you to everyone that took time to read this! I got it situated.

I have D2D and bitwritter ports so I needed to use the bitwritter port only with the 2 pin harness to power the vsm350 separately.

Everything is operational.
