Compustar CS920s, 2005 Hyundai Tucson

Working on setting this up for my daughter and have some quick questions.

1. I'm confused on how you connect the parking lights (+) from CS to pink\black and brown\orange in the car. The green white wire from cs is bigger and fused. Can I just join those three together? Parking light (-) seems to work for the right hand side of the car.

2. Car starts, locks work etc but how do you change options. Like I want the horn to Chirp on lock\unlock. All i can find is how to program the remotes.

The CS920-s (+) Parking Light Output is rated at 10 Amps. To do the install properly,
you must isolate the two vehicle (+) Parking light wires from each other. I typically use
two 6 Amp blocking diodes and split the R/S output. Look for a 6A10 diode on EBay but
if you want them fairly soon go with a USA seller, not China or Hong Kong. A pack of
10 goes for about $4. Another way to do it ( espically if you need more than 10 Amps )
is with relays as shown in this Bulldog Security diagram :

I would follow the lower diagram. It uses the (-) Parking Light output to control the relays
but you could switch things around to use the (+) Parking Light output. The upper diagram
uses the (+) Parking Light output but only one relay. This setup would allow the #1 Parking
Light wire to control the relay eliminating the desired isolation and turning on #2 Parking
Lights every time the #1 wire comes on.

See page 45 thru 48 for programming instructions. You will not be able make any changes
in the two Special Options Groups with just the remotes. Those groups require the use of
the OP-500 programmer.

or make it easy on your self and use the green/white wire which is the lights negative wire (pin1) on the cn3 harness and no need for diodes or needing the green/white wire on the cn1 harness. its rare that i use the positive light output on newer car unless it absolutely calls for it

Parking Lights - blue or blue/black- headlight switch, white 18 pin plug, pin 14

33 years as a installer now just a retired old guy. Favorite thing to install/topic are remote starts/car alarms. Stop using test lights!!!

For the diodes I would just split the fused 12v g/w and put 1 diode going to each + parking light on the car? Do the bands on the diodes go toward the car or the rs?

I just rigged up the single relay for + and it did work but the relay I got from my auto parts store made a horrible buzzing sound. I couldn’t stand that so I think I will order the diodes and give that a try.

Also for the next guy doing an old 2005 Tucson. I searched everywhere and could only find a pink/black for the PL. (which is only half the car). Brown/orange is supposed to be the other side. Test light didn’t show anything other then on the pink/black. I ended up finding both at the dash dimmer switch. Grey, pink/black and a black ground.

You know I did try that but only the parking lights on the right hand side of the car worked... I was totally perplexed Which is what started me down relay path.

I am just a diy guy and thought i must be a running into some weird Hyundai thing.

Maybe there was some other reason for the left hand parking lights not working... it is 15years old. RS wise everything else is working great.
