Good day gents,

I am installing a ProStart CT-4211TW in my 2003 Duramax along with the DBALL2 and I am in need of a little help. I am wanting to have the ability to idle up my truck and also have my heated seats come on for them cold Canadian winter days.

Being that my truck is an LB7 Duramax, it does not have auto high-idle like the LLY's and newer models so therefore I have wired in a manual high-idle that is activated by my cruise control. I followed the Merchant Automotive installation guide but the short and skinny of how it works is the high-idle is activated by turning cruise control "ON" then pressing "SET" for medium idle (1200 rpm) or "RESUME" for high idle (1800 rpm). What I would like is to be able to turn on the medium idle setting after a few minutes of it running for quicker warm ups via the trunk release or aux buttons.

As for my heated seats, reading through the DBALL2 install guide it states there is a feature to have the heated seats on automatically at preset temperatures but I am wondering if these trucks are compatible with this feature or not.

Thanks for the help guys.
Justin

According to the guide your right on the heated seats, it should activate the heated seats. As far as the High/med. idle mode I would take a look at a timer like the TR7 from pac audio. You can set the TR7 so that when it sees a ground signal it will wait, say 30 seconds and then send an output signal. So the TR7 trigger input to the ground while running output from remote start, then that ouput to the cruise control "set" trigger. This may take some testing to get operation to work properly.
