The doors do not lock or unlock with the new fob. I have not landed individual wires for the door locks (from CN3) because I assumed that the Blade would be communicating through the Can bus. Just looking to know for sure that I still have to land those additional wires. Thank you.

you have to use a relay and wire the door lock special on Subaru.

33 years as a installer now just a retired old guy. Favorite thing to install/topic are remote starts/car alarms. Stop using test lights!!!

Thank you for your reply, unfortunately I followed that diagram and this is why I'm here. I'm not 100% clear whether the blade is using the can bus for the door locks or do I have to land the actual wires from Cn3.

There is no need to connect the R/S CN3 wires to the Outbacks Lock / Unlock wires. The Blade-AL will handle the locks and Factory Alarm for you via it's connections to the car. You will need the relay shown in the Type 3 Install diagram in place and wired correctly to the Keyless wire.

Soldering is fun!

Thank you for spelling it out for me. Apparently I used a bad relay initially. After changing it everything works correctly. Again, thank you kindly.
