Hey there,  I installed a Delta Pro 5005 Combo in my 99 camry.  turned out pretty good.  I am now adding an aftermarket trunk release as Mine just has the cable.  the trunk release has a 12V fused to the switch, then wire from switch to solenoid and solenoid to ground.

The alarm manual says the Trunk output is (-).

I have 2 questions.

#1- there is a spare wire in the tunk that is not hooked up to anything is is GREEN / WHITE.  can I tie into this as opposed to running new wire to the trunk?

#2 - I tried hooking this up directly and it did not work, but the switch worked fine,  I guess i need a relay.  Does the relay get hooked up like this?

85 - (-) trunk release output from alarm
8612V Constant fused
87 12V Constant fused
87a - connect to wire between switch and solenoid
30 - ground

Thaks a bunch!

Please just answer question 1 of the above

Duh!!! for anyone wondering I believe the wiring for the relay I requested above should actually be

85 - (-) trunk release output from alarm
8612V Constant fused
87 12V Constant fused
87a - wire to switch
30 - wire to solenoid.

Please correct me if I am wrong!

The relay should be like this: Negative to Positive Relay Diagram

I would not use any SPARE wires from OEM wiring as you do not know for certain if somewhere along the line it ties into another input or output wire.
