I have a 2011 ford ranger sport. I I installed a cheap alarm a while back back and everything worked including the parking light flash. I have got a new avital alarm now and I cannot getting the parking lights to flash at all. p diagram says negative or positive and it is a negative wire. also my dome light will not come on or off only on the the drivers door. I every other door it works fine. any answers would be appreciated

I'm having difficulty understanding the wording of your post. Are you saying the alarm wire is negative, or the truck wire? The Avital should be set for positive output by default. You should be able to move the internal programming jumper if you need to change the output polarity.

When you open the driver's door, do you get a door open indication in the cluster? If not, I would test the door jamb switch.
