Viper 5706 Stuck in Emergency Disarm. Had to disarm because only remote battery went totally dead...charger port broke.
Bought new remote...now the alarm wont come out of emergency disarm mode and go into program mode...any suggestions? Have unplugged the module and plugged back in..to no avail

Key on, key off, press and release valet button and see if the LED goes dark.

IIRC, valet is grey. Those wires are pretty small and they like to break at the ends. You can try using your multimeter to check end to end for continuity.

If you find a problem, they use JST terminals (don't remember which one's) and can be ordered online. However, you likely can remove some unused pins elsewhere from another harness and solder/splice onto the end if needed.

Alternatively, you can order another antenna lead.

You can also check for continuity through the valet switch. Unplug the antenna lead from the main unit and test from the grey to the red. You should have no continuity until the button is pressed.

Someone said it was pink. You say grey. Im missing the pin on the control center that goes to pink on cable. Should i ground it or put it on + to activate?

You should test it to be safe. Pink on my 3 Vipers is for the LED. You can verify this with your multimeter on diode test (red lead to pink, black lead to black).

My grey shows 5k ohms to positive (red) when the button is pressed. I get a reading to negative (black) as well, but it's not consistent (probably due to a capacitor).

*Edit: I stand corrected. Although my 3 Vipers use the same antenna lead (pinned the same), I can only get a reading on the 5305. On the 5305, I am able to test both the LED (diode check), and the valet button (continuity). However, on my 2 other Vipers (same antenna as your 5706), I don't get any change in readings (on the LED or the valet button) even though they function correctly. If you have continuity across your antenna cable, you might try a replacement antenna.*

It's grey to red for valet button push.

Here's a copy-paste from a post I made a few years ago when I was trying to figure out the wires for the Control Center / Antenna, and wanted to retain the buttons and dash mounted LED.

WIRE
pnk          LED=ON:+ .945 LED=OFF: + 3.5
grn          LED=ON:+2.6   LED=OFF: +2.7
red          always:+5.0
blk          always: 0V
blu          always: 0V
gry          always: 0V

The button was easy. Same results armed or unarmed, The only wire that changed state from above with the button pushed was gry:

gry wire:        Button normal: 0V, Button Pushed: +4.1V

I jumped red to gry and was able to go in/out of Valet Mode. So I've got the button: red to gry, N.O.
