I have a 2020 Silverado with the factory alarm system. I have been seeing where thieves have been able to gain access to the Silverado, disable on-star and swap out the ECM all in about 3 minutes. I'm looking for ways to slow them down and thought about adding a shock sensor. Brother in law had his Silverado stolen at HEB and the store video showed the thieves first actions were to bang on the truck. My question is, can I install an aftermarket alarm using just the shock sensor only feature without doing a complete install? I don't need the remote start, keyless entry, just shock and possible a back up battery siren. The GM shock sensor add on would be to easily defeated and very expensive.

Also, this is a Silverado Custom with key, not push button start
