disassembly is a pain in the butt.. I wouldn't attempt this if this was my 1st remote start.. You know the ALCA only does convenience features? You will either need to lose a key/ get a TBVW

i did a couple before but on those i had a wiring diagram guide so it made it easier, there is not much info on the q7, yes i know i have to put a key but i just wanted to know for the start and ignition you posted its negative triggers so i would have to use a relay to change it from postive to negative from the starter?
thanks

Did you ever figure out a solution to this? I currently have a Compustar CM7200 hooked up in my 2007 Q7 and have all of the convenience features working, however, when I attempt to start it will turn on the climate control and then nothing; sometimes triggering the factory alarm. Would converting the positive ignition interface from the remote starter negative via SPDT relays change that? I have an transponder bypass wired and wrapped around the ignition switch (Compustar TransV2).
The system kicks back a error 8: tachometer read error, however, programming for tach recognition doesn't help (no error when attempting, assume works).
