Hello everyone,I hope everyone is in good health. Ok,on my 1992 Ford Sierra,it usually has a cable operating boot release, but that has seized up. I've now opted to install an actuator from a Ford Ka and followed the relay set up as follows: "Relay Pin 85 to CPX-360 Trunk Release Output
Relay Pin 86 and Pin 87 to +12V fused at 10 Amps..Relay Pin 30 to positive lead of trunk release solenoid."

This didn't work. I've now obtained the Ford Ka wiring diagram

I have 107 (dash button release) and 108 (actuator). I would like to know, what relay terminals are 1,2,3 and 4 likely to be? Could it be 1=87(12v+) 2=30 3=85 and 87=4?

thanks in advance
Paul

If you're asking about the circled relay, 1 and 4 are the normally open contacts (30 and 87). 2 and 3 are the coil (85 and 86).

Thankyou geepherder for your reply. I'm using a universal 4 pin relay, I've salvaged just the actuator and dash button. And I'm using the Ford Ka wiring diagram to establish which wires from the dash button,go where. The ground wire from the relay (3) will be which one 86 or 85 for example?

Yes the ground of the coil will go to either 85 or 86 (your choice). If you install a protection diode, the striped side goes to positive.

Right,I've sorted it,I wasn't putting 12+v to the dash button,as I thought that'll come from terminal 87 as that is getting 12+v. For some reason, whilst holding the dash switch,I questioned myself the wiring adjacent to BK in 107 YE/BK and YE/BU,where were they leading to,a fused power supply. Therefore,I wired in a 12+v supply to the YE/BU wire. Thanks for your help. How do I update my topic to "solved"?
