What I'm wanting to do should be about the same as wiring a 529t to a sunroof.

I have a 86 Toyota 4runner with a power rear window in the tailgate. I have installed a Viper 3400V alarm, and also picked up a Directed 529t window roll up/down module. I did not plan on wiring the 529t for the window to roll up/down when the alarm is armed/disarmed, but instead wanted to be able to roll it up/down with the aux button.

Though I haven't found any solid information online aside from a few people claiming they have done it, the "one-touch" feature allows me to roll the window down as well as up with the same button?

Some more potentially useful information, I have my rear window wired in such a way that the up/down button in my 4runner will always energize the relays and roll the window up and down, regardless if they key is in ignition or not. This makes me think I should be able to wire the 529t to these trigger wires rather than directly to the motor itself. The trigger wires are both positive, and completing one or the other to a ground will roll the window down or up.

If adding some relays is required to do this that is something I certainly wouldn't mind.. Something that alternatives between positive trigger wires each time the aux button is pressed.

Thanks!

Yes, the 529 does one click up and down.

Edit: earlier I was reading the aux button incorrectly as being a second button in the vehicle and not the one on the remote for the alarm/keyless entry.

I know in my setup I can roll it down with the aux button but I am not sure about rolling it up and down depending upon the position the window is in.

So yours is able to roll full up and full down with just the aux button alone? Or is it the aux + another button?

I'm trying to make sense of their instructions and I'm having a hell of a time. I don't wish to integrate any of the auto up/down features when the alarm is armed/disarmed, but that seems to be mostly what the instructions talk about.
Does your 529t happen to be accessible enough that you're able to check or snap a photo of which wires you used?

Thanks!

Sorry for the delay.

So I set mine up in the typical fashion (it's also a 535 but same concepts):
The windows switches on each door (2 on driver, 1 on passenger) have the one touch up and down.
The windows roll up when armed
Pressing the Lock+Unlock roll the windows down

Thus my wiring probably won't help much more than the manual - which I agree leaves some to be desired.

Are you good with hooking it up to your up/down button? Not involving the 3400.
I don't know anything about the wiring of your vehicle so there may be things that I am not considering.
The always live relays you already have in place can stay but rather than hooking the module to the trigger wire like you mentioned, it needs to be between the relay and motor (see page 2 of the manual).

I am having a hard time finding a wiring diagram for the 3400.
For the Aux roll up though that should just be a matter of finding the - aux output which I believe should be channel 2 RED/WHITE and connecting this to the ORANGE wire on the 529. This is assuming R/W is constant. The 529 manual reads like it isn't but I know on my 211HV it is.

For the Aux roll down, I am at a loss after reading that 529 manual. The more I read it the more I get confused. Is it just me or on page 5 is it saying that a - output (first the GWA and then Channel 3) does both roll up and down????
I am sure it can be done with a contact switch and relays but someone more knowledgeable than me will have to chime in.

I am trying to help but I am half tempted to tell you to ignore what I've written as the more I try to nail something down, the more the manual makes me doubt it all... :errr:

I'm kind of in the same boat as you, the more I read the manual the more confused I get.

I'll have to look at the manual again to answer your question about the output mentioned on page 5.

I still haven't been able to get through to the manufacturer either. I never get an email back, and when I call them I'm put through endless automated messages bringing me to different menu options, but none of them are specific to their window modules.
