I recently installed an MPC Remote Start Kit in my 2010 Rav4 with key start (dot key) which includes a Crimestopper RS0 Add-on Remote Start and a Fortin Key-Override-All Data Bypass Module. All works just fine with one exception. If I remote start the car, the SRS light comes on and stays on even after I enter the car and turn the key to start. This does not happen if I start the car with the key. I've been working with MPC support and they have been very helpful, but I was wondering if anyone has seen this before or has any ideas. Thanks for your help!

It sounds like there's another ignition wire that needs to get power. You should have both a pink and a white wire powered during remote start. You may need to use a relay if your system doesn't have another ignition output.

The light will likely stay on even after you do a key takeover until the ignition is cycled again.

Thanks. The system does have two ignition wires, and they are connected to the pink and white as you have mentioned. I'll double check that both are good connections.

You might want to meter them at the ignition harness during remote start, too. That way even if your connections are good, you'll know if you have a bad output.

geepherder. Thanks for jumping in on this. You led me to the solution which is that the crimestopper was sending ACC to an IGN wire and the voltage was dropping to zero during crank instead of staying at 12V. A simple programming change resolved my issue.
