Hi everyone,
I recently bought a very clean 94 k1500 with the 6.5 diesel. It has a system installed in it, but the PO didnt know anything about it. It is a Directed Electronics Incorporated “brand”, but i cant find a model number or anything on it. I want to buy a remote to see if it works.
I contacted dei and sent pics, but never heard back from them. Hopiing someone here can help me out. posted_image
Thanks!
Mike

That FCC id number is coming up form 9/6/1990. Does not give any other info. What are you looking to do with it?

Hi,
I am trying to find out what model it is so i can get a remote for it, to see if it works. I bought this clean 94 chevy k1500 diesel, and i was putting a stereo in it, and found it tucked up under the dash, all hooked up.
The previous owner didnt know anything about it, so i am just trying to see if it works.
I finally got a reply back from DEI, he thinks its a Automate am3. I tried lookimg those up to see if i could get a remote, but i dont see anything. Just need to know exactly what it is.
Ill probably find a remote for $35 and it wont work, lol
Thanks

When looked up the FCC id, it did come up with 302 mhz low and 303 high mhz. Found two remote for automate 3. One is no longer made the other if they do have it, is 50 bucks. But need date code form old remote. But even at 50 bucks, not even worth it.

Automate 3      430A      Up to 2B      465T
Automate 3      430A      2C-6C              493T

Remote 1

remote 2

Date code is 5 of 93 so should be a 493t remote (scratch code). Code should be on a white sticker inside of brain unit. posted_image
