I'm installing door lock actuators in a 2004 Toyota Corolla.  I was wondering if anyone has come up with a reasonable easy way to attach the rod from the actuator to the lock mechanism.  I have done the drivers side door by drilling a hole, and attaching the rod to the lock mechanism but it wasn't easy and there is a fair amount of resistance to get the actuator to move the lock.  I have heard of people cutting the sheathing of the cable then attaching the rod from the actuator to the cable inside.  Does anyone have any pictures?, Does this method work?

Any help would be appreciated,

Scott
