Here is what i have.

CS4900-S remote start
With COM-BLADE-AL

i have also used a DB-GMDLB interface Same problem.

2003 Chevy Silverado 2500hd

Everything works it starts, doors unlock etc...

the only problem i,m having is when i remote start the truck and insert a key, turn it to the on(run) position i drive away but the truck will not shift gears.

if i shut off the truck and restart the trucks shifts normally.

anyone have any idea's on how to resolve the issue, if thats even possible.

Sounds like you did not power the trucks Ignition 2 circuit during the remote start. The Compustar CS4900-s has a selectable Blue ignition output wire at CN1-5 that should be connected to the trucks White IGN2 wire. The factory default setting ( via jumper ) is Ignition for that CN1-5 Blue wire, so you should be good to go.

These ignition connections can all be made inside the truck, under the steering column.
Here is a photo of the ignition wires :
