I would like to install an aftermarket remote start system in a 2018 Ford F-550 Cab/chassis Diesel/Auto w/factory keyless entry. Has anyone performed this install? If so, which brand/model of kit was installed. The idatastart site lists older F-550 options but nothing for a 2018 or newer. Any information is appreciated. Thank you.

if i'm not mistaken the f-450 and 550 are the same that year so you could use a compustar dc3 with the ads-thr-fm8 t-harness to make it plug n play. Not 100% sure but at least that what I am finding. Might be best to call compustar/idata link

33 years as a installer now just a retired old guy. Favorite thing to install/topic are remote starts/car alarms. Stop using test lights!!!

I installed a Fortin EVO-ALL and a THAR-FOR3 T-harness into the 2018 F-550. The remote starter is functional with 3x lock to start the truck. The run time is not programmable as the install that I made only turned on the factory remote start option. I was informed by Fortin that I need to install the THAR-FOR2 to gain full Fortin remote start options. I am going to install a THAR-FOR2 and see if that allows full customization via Fortin. I will update once I have tried that. Thanks for the info.
