Try this using a SPDT relay :

Details... While you are cutting the vans Violet/Red Power Lock wire, the vans lock system will still operate normally because the signal will pass through Pins 87a to 30 of the added relay. These pins are N.C. ( normally closed ) while the relay is not energized. When the Avital outputs a (-) Lock signal it will energize the relays coil ( Pin 85 (-) and Pin 86 (+) ). Internally the relay switches the connection from Pin 30 -> Pin 87a to Pin 30 -> Pin 87. This does two things for you. It removes the power door lock switch from the circuit ( isolates it ) and applies a Chassis Ground through the required 1k Ohm resistor to Pin 30 which goes into the BCM and causes the power door locks to Lock.
