It’s 2017 volvo vnl with key start. Also already have remote controlled door locks.

that one would be a hard one. Most volvo cars are a advanced install for a RS and not widely supported with out giving up a key to do a key wrap. Viper doesn't even list the semis wiring which if there is a chip in the key/immobilizer (i have no clue) there is no bypass for it and a key would have to be giving up

There is no chip in the key. It’s just a different remote control for the door locks. The key to turn on the truck is just a basic key.

best advice is to leave it to a pro, or become BBF's with your multi-meter, and start testing wires

If I wanted to go to a pro, then i shouldn’t have started this forum.

Most Semi Trucks are manual shift transmissions. RS on manual transmissions is not a good idea.

It’s an automatic transmission not manual.

alot of pro's won't even touch a semi. if you need a "walk through" you probably shouldn't do it. however if you do, finding TACH / door locks will be hardest part. Good luck.

Seems like no one here have the knowledge with remote starters to put on a semi. So I would request that only genius and a person with experience with it should reply. Thanks all.

wow that's really nice attitude. Maybe you should look else where for info on your semi. I've been a installer for 30+ years and have done thousands of RS but never done a semi for a RS
