Avital 4105L, 2009 Toyota Sienna

I am installing a avital 4105L in a 2009 toyota sienna LE the remote start is in and works but I can not get parking lights. I hooked white wire on 9 pin connector to green/black wire coming from headlight switch. When I test green/black wire with volt meter it shows 12v when off and 0 volt when switched to parking lights (when car is not running) but when the car is running this wire has 12 volts when parking lights on. I disconnected white wire and tested it while remote starting and didn't seem to get any voltage (when I use volt meter should it be set to 200m DC volt to test for neg pulse?) tried jumper on both pins. from what I've read I need a neg. pulse to lights. I could not figure out which 2 pins jumper goes to for negative. I don't understand how a negative pulse works the lights when the cars wire has 12 volts when engine is running?

You have the right vehicle wire. The way to test it with a DMM is as follows :
DMM set to 20V DC.
Red test lead on +12V constant.
Black test lead on Green/Black wire.
The DMM will read 0V or so when the Parking Lights are off and +12V when the Parking Lights are on.
It's kinda reverse logic. When the Parking Lights are on, the (-) signal provides a return path for the DMM and it shows the +12V constant signal. Think of it as having the Red lead on the (+) battery post and then touching the Black test lead to the vehicles frame.

As for the Viper 4105, turn it over and looking at the bottom, you will see the Parking Light jumper position info. When you look at the actual jumper from the side, it should be on the two pins away from the red DBI port, toward the outboard edge of the 4105 module.
