Hello , I am more of a an aircraft avionics installer but i think i qualify for this site.
Also ran a small auto aircon repair business from home.
Am in Australia and remote start aftermarket options very limited here (and not legal in our largest state)
Hyundai dealers here do not provide an option for remote start.
Drone/LTE doesnt work in Australia (wrong cell frequencies here)
The one and only Compustar dealer here wasnt particularly interested in an install.
Left with Viper 5205V $350 usd, reasonable basic system the smart phone add-on here is $350 usd
this is my only local option in Australia it seems.
I would prefer to fit an idatastart system utilising original remotes and then add a carlink bluetooth ASCLBTLR
From my research this should perform remote start without the subscription (which probably doesnt work here in Australia
Also have a "customer" with a Mitsubishi evo/lancer tried fitting a mpc remote start system, installers cant get it to work (uses original remotes)
Just asking for a little advice here please, do mpc have issues to install ?
And the kona anyones advice on idatastart , at least they can provide a suitable T harness.

The 2020 Kona is a key type install eg not push button
Will check on the Mitsubishi evo/lancer config
