Subject: How To Activate Heated Seats From Remote Starter?

Hello!
I'm just trying to figure out how to activate a switch to turn on heated seats, steering wheel, defroster.

I read some forums talking about pulses etc.

But I don't know if that'd work for me.
For example my rear seat switch includes the module as well. It has a connector with 5 wires. Wire 5 has power all the time. Wire 1 only gets constant 12 volts when I press the heat button.

For now I used a 5th relay output from my starter to provide power directly to pin 1. This way the heated seats start heating when the car is started with a remote.

However I basically bypassed the switch and the module.

Is there any way to wire it so that the actual button is activated, instead of providing direct current?

BMW X5 2002, 3.0l

I have access to the wiring diagrams but they don't include diagrams of how boards are soldered

I'm not sure if I'm supposed to solder a wire from a remote starter somewhere on the board to activate the switch?

Directechs has the following info.

Left Front Heated Seat     Green/Violet     Reverse     Center Console Switch, brown 23 pin plug, pin 1
Right Front Heated Seat     Green/Yellow     Reverse     Center Console Switch, brown 23 pin plug, pin 13

My bad, in my previous post I didn't specify I was referring to rear heated seats.

The information you provided for the front seats is correct. Here's the diagram.

Now I know that if I provide 12 volts directly to pin 1 and pin 13, it will start heating the seats. But I was wondering if it's possible to activate the switch itself, to replicate what would happen if I pushed the switch with my finger.
