I have a 2000 Toyota Echo manual transmission. I have installed a Compustar Cm900 module. When I hook up the yellow starter wire from the module to the white/black wire going into the clutch switch it blows the 30a fuse on the red/white constant 12v wire when I try to remote start. So I disconnected the yellow wire completely and tried to remote start it and it did not blow the fuse. I thought that the white/black wire needed 12v to mimic pressing the clutch in to bypass it? Any ideas?

You need a (-) signal to that Clutch wire. You're blowing the fuse because it's going to ground.
Here is the clutch wire info :
Clutch Pedal......white/red or white/black (-)........clutch switch, white 2 pin plug, pin 1

If you don't have the OP-500 programmer to reassign an unused POC to (-) Starter2 you will need use a signal like (-) Status Output.

Thank you for your help. That worked perfectly. I attached the yellow starter wire from the module to the starter wire on the ignition harness, the(-) status output wire to the white/red wire at the clutch switch and the remote start fired right up after that.

Cm900 is not made for a manual transmission, and should NOT BE USED!

I didn't realize this wasn't for manual transmission. I will exchange this for one that is suitable for a manual transmission. Thanks for letting me know.

SilverCivic is absolutely correct, the CM900s is not rated safe for manual transmission vehicles. Sorry I missed that very important issue. Take a look at the Compustar FT7200s StartIt controllers. Great unit and very similar. It even has a (-) Starter Output. You will be able to pair your current remotes. Think they go for around $50.

if you get a 7200 or CMx, don't forget you will need a FT-DAS, and that you have to go into the programing to enable manual transmission mode. *also, don't cut the loop". the main harness will plug right in, however will you need to rewire the other harness for door locks/brake/tach/hood pin/ ebrake and Tach.
